The Thursday morning service during the Fall 2011 Conference was very special and inspiring. Some wiped away tears as the Missionaries narrated their presentations and slideshows, and we all got a closeup of the face of the mission field. Support of Missionaries

Ideally, aspiring Missionaries would itinerate to raise support funds. Since they cannot usually obtain employment in a foreign country, NTCC sponsors the Missionaries and guarantees to the foreign governments that we'll support them. However, many of our Missonaries have never had the opportunity to itinerate. Therefore, pledges have occasionally been raised for them; no pledges have been raised for years, except for those received by a World Missions Director. Such pledges were limited to $5.00 per month, per person. There is no longer a World Missions Director because the expense was greater than the amount of pledges received.

There is very little administrative overhead in the World Missions program, therefore WM funds are fully devoted to the work. In a missionary work, the goal, like any other church, is to build a self-sustaining work; in some places, however, that isn't possible. That's why we give; that's why we pray; the only benefit for us, is knowing we've done our part in sending the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who've never heard.
